Preparing to recruit the right candidate

The purpose of the recruitment interview is to identify the right 
person for the job. This typically means evaluating candidates
against a range of attributes to assess their technical ability, managerial skill, personal competencies and experience in relation to the job itself, the dynamics of the team and the culture of the organisation.

The recruitment process is important to both the hiring manager
and the candidate. It takes time and effort on both sides and a poor decision can have serious implications. Identifying the right person, and not just the best of those you met, requires thorough preparation.
